Method:

  1. Place flour, yeast, butter, milk, yogurt and salt in a large bowl. Knead well to make sticky dough. Cover the bowl, and set aside in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until the dough has doubled its size.
  2. Punch down the dough and turn it onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for 2-3 minutes or until soft and elastic. Divide it into 7 equal portions. Using your hands, roll out each portion into circular shape.
  3. Heat a pan or tawa over high heat. Place the rolled out naans on the tawa, one at a time. When naan puffs up and turns golden, flip over to cook the other side. Repeat with the remaining rolled out naans.
  4. While the naans are still hot, brush with more melted butter on both sides. Serve with your favorite curry.

Butter Naan is serve in most Indian restaurants and is served best with punjabi rich curry dishes like DAL MAKHANI, PANEER MAKHANI, DAL TADKA , KADAI PANEER and AMRITSARI CHOLE.
